Recently, a co-worker sent me a link to AdGoodness that made me do something that I almost never do with TV spots. I watched it again. This morning, I watched it again when I got to work. It plays more like a short film than an ad, and doesn’t bother with the pretense of being strange or random just for novelty’s sake. Take a look, then take another look.

Note: This was originally intended to be solely a review of The Simpsons Movie, but instead became a stroll down memory lane, which I suppose is both appropreate and required, given the subject matter.

One December evening two decades ago I sat down in the cool blue glow of the television with my brother to watch The Tracy Ullman Show.
