Finally! I have a portfolio on my portfolio site! Wahoo!
I’ll be (attempting) to add stuff to it daily, or at least a couple of times per week. Let the fun begin!

And I don’t care. Officially. I’ve taken precedent (kind of) from Mike Davidson, and am purposefully leaving my site erroneous(in some eyes). Just to let everyone know, I’ll be including a link in the footer to this article. That’s right, each and every page will announce that my site doesn’t play well with others… and by “others” I mean specifically Microsoft Internet Expolorer. I hearby officially end my support for IE until some things change.
More details when I have time to finish this post.

This day be Talk Like a Pirate Day, matee. Take yer closest scallywags to the nearest tavern for a bottle of grog, and don’t let it slip yer mind to tell all the lilly-livered landlubbers you come across that today is a day for eye patches, parrots, striped red shirts, peg legs, and most importantly, booty. Yar.

As I am a master of wishful-thinking and novice at follow-through, I am going to write this here for the whole world to see in hopes that this will be motivation enough for me to be true to my word. For effect, and because I can I will repeat myself.
I will get back into photography.
I will get back into photography.

Hi there!
Welcome to the newly–redesigned david jewell dot net.
For the tech–minded: The entire site is now run through wordpress! Now it is super–easy for me to update! Best efforts have been made to make this site 100% w3 standards compliant. This has more or less been achieved, but there are places that still need work. Also, sIFR is used to make those nifty dynamic headlines.
Anyway, I haven’t quite gotten around to fixing everything quite yet, and I am still trying to decide on the best way to display my portfolio so look for updates! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you see something that doesn’t look like it should be…
Please, poke about !

Kurt Vonnegut died yesterday of complications from a fall at the age of 84. You will be missed.

It came to my attention earlier today that this is in fact a holiday (though not officially “holy”). Every December 5 as it turns out is the Day of the Ninja, one day of the year when us Non-Ninjas (or Nonjas) are honorary ninjas. So, sharpen your shirkens and break out your favorite black tshirt and do some sneakin’!
