Zero-Point Energy, in simplest terms is the lowest amount of energy in space, or more specifically the native energy present in a true vacuum. Some theorists have suggested the possibility of harnessing this vast storehouse of energy to create “Free-Energy” devices, prompting individuals ranging from the blossoming ametur inventor to respected scientific minds such as Nikola Tessla to take to the workbench in search of such a device. Free Energy however, is impossible according to the Law of Conservation of Energy, which states that energy of any particular system remains constant, although it may change forms. This has led the pursuers of free energy to become pariahs of sorts, and almost never taken seriously.
